On a recent trip to Santa Fe to see an art opening for my lovely friend Alexandra Eldridge I attempted to take a photo of my favorite lone tree on the outskirts of Taos, as we were whizzing by I snapped these and I think they are kind of cool in an odd way. Then later I of course forgot to take my camera into the show which is why I brought it in the first place :-).
I am off to work on paintings, these days I have many going on at once. I will be sharing them soon. Happy Saturday! XOXO

Kj, Thank you, you only have one life (at least one at a time :-), so you have to show up and really live it, or what is the alternative? xoxo
Annie - that bottom one looks like a painting! And I am the same exact way - I'll bring a camera and forget I have it, get caught up in whatever I'm doing, or leave it in the car - lol! It means we're having fun (that's what I tell myself). Can't wait to see the paintings!! xox Pam
Pam, I thought it looked like a painting too, not sure how that textured illusion happened, I did not photo shop them except auto level, I think there is a reflection off the dashboard of the car. And yes I left the camera in the car and the gallery was a long way away from where we parked LOL. xoxo
I do believe I know that tree! Love the 2nd shot, too... it does look painterly! Glad you enjoyed the show, despite the mishaps along the way!
;) happy sunday to you annie!
i love your photos annie! and yes! cameras can be so much fun and i love that you've said this. because that is what its all about. :)
I never seem to have my camera where I want it when.
Funny,,,I thought it was raindrops on the windshield!
I enjoyed the link, thanks.
I especially like the look of that second photo.
I really like the second photo...so watery looking!
I'm constantly forgetting my camera, as well. There will always be another photo to take, sometime, is what I tell myself! xx
I love your whoosh photos!
xoxoxo
Oooh, and Alexandra's work is yummy! Thanks for the link.
xo
Yes such fun pics! Love the texture in the lower one. Perhaps they will be inspiration for a future project.
Oh, I love the 2nd photo! It could be a painting, a large one, and give a real 'on the road' kind of feeling of freedom. Least that's how it speaks to me...
