This is my newest painting, it is so different for me it kind of freaks me out :-).
20"x 16" venetian plaster and mixed mediums on board, I dreamed the title "Monument"
I finished it a couple weeks ago, but I have been living with it to see if it is really finished, still not sure. When I am sure I will varnish it which will make the colors pop more. I included many close up detail shots and if you take the time to enlarge you will see much more. Let me know what you think.
I know I have not been visiting much or blogging much, but I am obsessed with painting right now and I am working many jobs, so please forgive me my absence. I have 4 more paintings going in various states of dress, I will share when I can.
Have a wonderful Monday! XOXO

I love it Annie. The new blogger format make it hard for me to enlarge it the way I'd like... so hopefully I'll see it in person sometime soon. I'll be moving into an apartment starting this week... keep your fingers crossed it is quiet. Hope to catch up soon... thanks for checking in.
This one reminds me more of the ones that you admire, that I saw on Art Love. Minimalist? I'm not sure what they are called. I'm fascinated to see you exploring and freeing your art more and more from conventional shapes. It's exciting to watch and to wonder what you will come up with next!
Becky, Thank you sweetie, I know that blogger changed things, sometimes they should let things be! I am so glad you found a home, keeping fingers and toes crossed that it is perfect for you.xoxo
Suzanne, Well, I hope they are more me than the ones I like, but I have been wishing to be more free, and am feeling it, not sure where it will all end up each one seems more and more odd, but more uncensored and I am loving that very much.xoxo
I do enjoy the textures on this painting...so much movement and depth! I too am more busy painting that visiting blogs but tonight I had some time so HI.
It is something different Annie from what we are used to see. Enjoy your painting my friend, I have taken up sewing and for me to be able to sew is a luxury, stealing time I often do not have. HUgs..:)
Annie - I LOVE it, and I would be able to pick it as one of yours in a line-up. :) Your new work is so cool! xox Pam
Lynn, Hi back :-).xoxo
M.Kate,Happy sewing my friend.xoxo
Pam, I needed to hear that, thank you :-).xoxo
Hey Annie, the paintings are all you! I don't think your paintings look like any other particular artist. I know very little about abstract art and was trying to sound like I knew what the heck I was talking about. LOL!
Yes so very different, yet not so different at all. I like!
Suzanne, No worries LOL.xoxo
Joss, Thank you sweetie.xoxo
Hi Annie,
I do the same thing with new paintings that I am not sure of. The close up shots are GREAT. Love the big one on the previous post, too.
I like this new direction Annie. I think you're very much tuned into your muse!
xo
Lo♥
I really like the part on the left that would make me title it:
"Unchained"
Brilliant textures these works contain!
Oh Annie, the textures and colors are amazing! You are doing some incredible work, my friend.
