Mr.B

He is at peace.
I took him this evening
and he went peacefully.
I sang, row, row row your boat.
I gave him an hour outside,
and lots of cheese and treats,
before we went. I miss him
so much, but I am happy
he is in the joyful place he is, instead of here, in pain.
Thank you all for your kind words and advice, it helps a lot.
It also helps to have my 3 boys here with me.
I love you B.
xoxo

Oh Annie, that is a sweet photo of Mr. B and your farewell day sounded full of love and kindness. You let him go with grace, that is what you should remember when you get sad...that you said your goodbyes because you cared for each other so...

You were the BEST MOM to him....
Now he is an "Angel Cat" - for real. You made the right decision, Anne, and I know B is grateful to have his spirit released.

I know how your heart is aching.....and I am sure Spike will really miss him....I am glad you have your 3 Boys with you.

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

annie, i am so sorry and you are so loving. this photo, with mr. b's wise upward eyes and that vibrant playful chair behind him, strikes me as the most wonderful tribute anyone could ever have.

this is a time when i wish your blogging family could sit with you, pay its respects with a casserole and shared tears. but we live under the same sky, annie, and you know you are loved.

mr. b is at peace and he will watch over you. you did a courageous loving act today annie.

love always
kj

I'm sorry too Annie.
Knowing it's the best thing for him helps, but it doesn't help quite enough, I know.
I picture him running through fields of gold with Callie.Such a loving God as we have would provide a heaven for His beloved creatures,,,,I feel it in my bones.

Big huge hugs to you Annie. To do the right thing takes both courage and a loving heart. It must have been really hard to do this and yet you did it so well, with the treats and a song too. The perfect send off to cat heaven. I love the photo of B, what a sweet face.

I am glad you have the comfort of your blogging friends as well as your 3 boys.

Lots of love to you Annie. And more hugs. xx Jos

What a lovely photo of Mr B with such a fun chair. Remember him looking like that instead of how ill he was at the end. You made the right decision for him. It is harder on those left behind than those who go on.

I don't know if you've heard of Rainbow Bridge.

OH Mr. B. He looks so beautiful there looking upward. Big hugs to you as you miss him, his little habits, his cozy ways. But you are right, he is no longer struggling and in pain. It was for him you did this. Lovely you sang to him and were there with him. Oh, I did that too for Miss Em, let her outside for her last breaths of beautiful earth. Love, Suki

I didn't visit blogs much yesterday so Robin told me last night between tears. My heart breaks for you and Spike, his sweet brother. I'm glad you still have three wonderful companions.
I'm just going to echo what everyone else has said, you did an act of loving kindness and he had to know that in his heart,
I'm glad his transition was smooth as he heard your sweet voice sing to him.

Blessings to you and sweet B.

Oh Annie. . . I am so sorry for your sadness, and for Mr. B's suffering. You and Mr. B were meant to be in each other's lives. He was so lucky that you were his loving mom for all these years, and you were so lucky to love this beautiful boy.

I love the picture of Mr. B, and I love you.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. B's passing. I didn't "know" him for that long but he seemed like such a great feline companion. Tell the boys to give you a hug from me.

Please accept my condolences. That is a very nice thing you did for Mr. B - that's exactly how I imagine what I would do if I were faced with that decision...but life is only worth living if it's good and once it's no good anymore, it's ok to say good-bye.

I'm still very sorry for your loss.

Just found your blog and I am so very sorry for your loss. I turned my Oscar over to peace and rest two years ago and I still miss him. The best companion I have had for 18 years. May Mr.B and Oscar keep one another company

Oh Annie,
I am sorry to react this late.
I red your post the day I left and thought I had commented but that was on the post before.
How are you dear? Is the worst pain away a little bit?
Oh my.....this is always hard, but seeing a loved cat suffer is even worse so I hope it is also a little relief to know he is not in pain any longer.
I have lost quite a few cats in the years and you never get used to it.
It feels so empty and I am always down after losing a pet.....
Right now I have 5 old cats (a few very old) and one young one.
I know what is waiting for me.....
You are courageous to have taken the right decision for mr. B.
I wish you strength in finding a place for your grieve.

A big big hug from me Annie!
