Updates

Thought I should let you all know what was up. It has been a busy week with lots of family phone calls and looking for a pet-sitter. Mom is home and doing very well, the doctors are amazed at how fast she is recovering. My brother R and mom's boyfriend R have provided the rest of the funds I needed to go home. I was able to come up with 400, so I have the pet-sitter and my shuttle costs covered. Yay. I want to thank them very much as well as dear Angela and Lolo and Kj for their purchases on my ESTY site and sweet Jos and Robin and M for their very generous offers. I am making the plane reservations today. It looks like I will be leaving the 13Th and coming back the 21st. I still have not found a pet-sitter, but I am still looking and I have a good friend who does not want to do it (he has little patience and my boys require a lot), but will do it if I don't find anyone by the time I leave. I am waiting to hear from a vet tech and she would be perfect, please pray she can do it!
In other news I have many things going on. My show at Cafe Loka comes down next Friday.
There is a job I may go for, but I don't know enough yet to make any decisions. Or I may come home from my trip and start the long process of planning a move to Oregon. Any of my readers live on the Oregon coast? Speaking of the coast, mom and R and I are going for a few days when I am home! Yay! Double Yay! I miss the sea so much which is one reason I want to move there, also it is only two hours from my family and I would be closer if they needed me and be able to visit more often. I have not decided yet what I will do. My head spins with all the stuff I have to think about.
And for those of you, Nolly, Angela, who are interested in my journey with the book"Busting Loose from the Money Game" , "the process" I do in the book has been a God send through all this crisis.
Okay, this is a much needed day off, so I am laying around, reading and watching my beloved "Lost" tapes. No more painting until I return home, unless I just can't help myself, which could happen :-).
Thanks again to those who prayed, thought good thoughts and helped with your cash. I love you all, each and everyone. Happy Saturday. xoxo

I'm so glad you may be moving to the coast. When I move back from the Cariboo, we will be living on Vancouver Island. From there, I have visited the Oregon Coast many times in the past. It's not that far, so we may meet up at some point in the future, Annie! And I know what you mean when you say you miss the sea...I do,as well, every day!

I'm happy your Mom is recovering well! I hope you find a pet-sitter; I have one that is very good and I don't know what I'd do without her.

Annie! I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I'm glad she's doing better. I would love to live on the coast of Oregon, save me a spot if you go. :) I will keep fingers crossed that you find a pet sitter (I know how hard that is - I have 2 dogs and 3 cats!). Take care and I hope everything goes well - xoxox - Pam

Hi sweet Annie! I'm so glad everything is falling into place for you, and that your mom is improving daily! Yay! It will do you both a world of good just to be together, and to be able to hug each other and chat.
:0)
Yay!
I can understand your desire to move back to Oregon - another one of my favorite states!!!! One of these days my Charlie and I are going to visit the Pacific Northwest again, too. I just love it there!
:0)
I'll be thinking of you and your mom and your boys, wishing you all the best, always.

I hope you have wonderful weekend (drooling over Desmond!).

Lots of hugs, and lots of love,

Kj-Shopping! Don't forget the paintings too and I would do a very special deal for my blogging sisters and sending half to the sea turtles is still part of the deal. I love you even if you don't buy anything, you know that.
I do love Marion and it is you who told me I needed to go check her out.
Still no word from the vet tech, but she maybe gone for the weekend.
I will keep searching on Monday if I don't hear anything.
Happy 4th, Kj.
Love.

Annie~ So glad your Mom is healing quickly... and doubly glad you get to go see her! Are you originally from Oregon? I haven't lived on the coast (except in Northern cal)... but if you are used to having sunshine, as you do in Taos, Oregon winters can be very difficult. I'm originally from San Diego & used to sunshine... so not seeing the sun much at all for months on end was hard... depressing really. I think I had a case of SAD. It is beautiful, though! What coastal city are you thinking about?

Melanie-All is well.xoxo
Mary-Laure-So happy to see you are back.xoxo
Becky-I am from Portland Oregon, but have not lived there since I was 20, lived in San Francisco until 13 years ago when I moved here to Taos. You are right I would miss the sun and that is part of what I have to think about.
I have not said I am moving yet, just thinking about it. xoxo

I live in Eugene, which is 60 miles inland from Florence. How can I help?

Double Yay!!! I hope the vet-tech comes through for you Annie, last piece in the jigsaw so you can leave knowing all is well taken care of. And I hope that the trip home is fun. So delighted that your mum is doing better. I love the sea too. Only 2 hours drive for me ... one of the benefits of living in such a small country :) xx Jos

Snowbrush-I was thinking of the area around Cannon Beach, do you know it? What is it like job and housing wise? Are the rents high? Food costs? Thank you for any info.
Happy to see you here. xoxo
Jos-Have I told you how much I adore you dear lady? Well I do. Thank you for all your well wishes.
