I have been away from my blog for a while, right after Thanksgiving I had a series of unfortunate things happen, first to avoid hitting a man walking on an icy dirt road, I went into a ditch, that was a first for me and I complained bitterly :-), then I got struck with a sinus infection that has been so painful I cannot remember having so much pain in my life, not having money to go to the doctor (my Obama Care has not kicked in yet), I have been treating it myself and now I am on the other side of it, pain level went from 15 to an 8.
One thing I can tell you I learned from this is that things can get worse. I don't mean that in a negative way, I mean that no matter what you are going through things can be worse and if you look at it that way there is so much to be grateful for! The pain taught me to be grateful when there was no pain even if my car is in a ditch :-). Being pain free is such a deep blessing that even my chronic back and shoulder pain does not even register as pain now, not in comparison with really bad pain. Life looks new and I see so much to be happy about, I wanted to share this blessing with you. XOXO

Thankful
This is my beloved Taos Mountain, it does not look like this right now as we have had nothing but sunshine for weeks, not that I am complaining, but I miss the snow.
Since it is Thanksgiving tomorrow I thought I would do a little post about the things I am most thankful for right now:
Family,
Furbabies,
Friends,
Good health,
Taos Mountain,
Art,
Making it and looking at it.
Margaritas,
I get to have some tonight, yay, I am not a big drinker, but I am in the mood tonight :-),
Rust,
I am having a love affair with rust right now, everywhere I go I look for rusty bits, I am so easy to please :-),
The way the light here in Taos is so magical at dusk,
The birds I feed that entertain me on a daily basis in my yard,
Good movies,
Good books,
I will finish my list with the magical #9, if you don't know why it's magical I will tell you: If you multiply 9 by any # and then add those #'s up, they always come out to 9, here is an example: 9 x 102,985= 926,865, added up=36 added up=9! Try any number, it will blow your mind :-).
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Love and kisses, XOXO

Deep Gratitude
Today I woke up feeling such gratitude. Thankful my mom is alright and that my brave boys Spike and B have bounced back and are still with me. Grateful for a roof over my head and enough work to live. I can clap my hands for glee over all my new art projects like Artshine , and a zillion other ideas I have floating around in my head. I am happy to be living in a place of such beauty and sunshine. I am most thankful for my health and for my body that carries me around without much complaint.
Today I have a wonderfully fun day planned of art. First I will be completing my page for my traveling book, something I have never done before and I am excited, then I am working on my large 48"x48" painting that has been waiting patiently for months while I played with porcelain instead. 12 hours to do nothing but art, bliss.
What are you thankful for today?
Love and hugs, XOXO ♥

Gratitude

Photo by Geraint Smith. Yesterday I was
in a complaining mood, mostly to myself,
muttering under my breath all day. It is
true I had some things to complain about,
but I hate it when I get like that. I started
out like that today too, but I want to change
my focus, so I decided to write a post about
what I was thankful for and what I want more
of in my life, so here is a short list, and you can
add some of your own.
1. My four boys(animal kids).
2. My lovely family
3. All my wonderful friends
4. My healthy body
5. My talent
6. The beach
7. Paris
8. The man who will remain nameless
9. Hummingbirds
10. Dragonflies
11. Butterflies
12. Birds
13. Trees
14. Movies
15. Books
16. Good food
17. Chocolate
18. My lovely car
19. Art
20. All my bloggy friends
Okay, I feel so much better :-).
Happy Tuesday!
