Life is Paradise

I have been thinking a lot about time. This is the eve before my birthday.
I am amazed by the speed that life seems to be whizzing by.
I don't want to miss any of it.
I want to be fully awake and grateful for all of it, for as long as it lasts.
So I thought in honor of the past year and for the year ahead I would do a post about what I am most grateful for, here is my list:
My family, including the furballs even my dear Prozac dog.
My friends, including my wonderful bloggy friends.
My health and even my aches and pains and sore back that let me know it is time to rest and take it easy.
The color red in my paint box.
The family of doves that come for breakfast daily.
This computer even if it is old and too slow.
The amazing and still moving Taos Mountain, the reason I am here and the reason I stay.
Art, even the bad, if I am not making it I am reading about it or looking at it daily, not sure I could live without it.
Ditto for good books and movies.
My new sofa that a friend and client gave me today.
The softness of my sheets.
The happiness deep in my soul, that no matter what happens, no matter how devastating the news, LIFE IS PARADISE.

Happy happy happy birthday darling Annie. I hope you have a super duper day. And you forgot about Orange!!!! Definitely a colour worthy of gratitude (smile). Red is my second fave though so I'm with you there. I love that you are happy deep in your soul. I think that is truly an amazing thing.

Much love to you. xoxo Jos

Thank you, I love all the colours, but red just seems to be the pick of the day :-).
I love you.xoxo
Thank you, I am glad I found you too. Too soon to tell about the Prozac, it takes 3-6 weeks for it to kick in, but she is not having any weird side affects.xoxo
Thank you, so glad you came by for a visit. xoxo

life does speed by, but it is up to us to slow it down long enough to enjoy it. I hope your birthday is slow and savory!

Happy Birthday, and I hope you have cake.
How wise you are to celebrate even the small things. The red in your paintbox for example. It's the adding up of all things small that make a Paradise.
Happy Day Annie.

Wishing you the happiest of birthdays dear Annie...

Yes, seize each and every day.
Wake up smiling.
except when situations have made that impossible then wake up knowing in time the smile will be back along with the sunshine

It does seem to speed by
but since we are here
did wake up TODAY
we can stay in the moment and call this OUR LIFE NOW

Happy happy birthday
And hope
we both
wake up
and tomorrow
and many many tomorrows after that.

annie, i am very late arriving here. i hope you are still celebrating so i can rightfully wish you the best of years ahead.

your attitude amazes and inspires me. i've told you this before. you remind me of those plastic blow ups that just keep springing back up no matter how hard they get hit. maybe not the best image, but i hope you know what i mean!

happy happy birthday
