New painting

"Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it"-Buddha

This is my newest painting and many detail shots of it so you can really see it. No title yet. Again, it has a zillion layers, Venetian plaster, acrylic, pastel, graphite, varnish and collage. I am really loving doing these paintings. I have 3 more in various stages and hope to finish another one soon. Please share your thoughts. Happy Saturday! XOXO

I love the way that gorgeously intense red looks with the pastels. The circles, swirls and other marks are in just the right places. Beautiful!

I love the frame of that brilliant red background, too. It's playful and fun. My mind tries to make something familiar as I look at the closeups: the track of small black lines look like footprints, the black border with white circles becomes Santa's belt. Very fun, Annie!

your new work has such complexity. I love the varying size of circles, the black marks like sewing, the crackle effect. wonderful.

POW! What size is this Annie? It feels huge in it's energy; motion!

Great marks,,,,and the crackle is too cool.

Lubna,Marianne, Pam, Angela,Suzanne,Suki,Joss,Thank you for all your kind comments, Babs, the painting is 20"x 16", so not so big, but I have started a 47"x 47" today and I am excited! xoxo

Oh what fun! I could see a person eating an iced lolly sitting in a rock pool wearing a sun hat. Love it!

Dear Annie!
I think this is my favorite painting yet! The title that comes to mind is "migration." Wonderful. I've read the last 2 posts... gosh, I don't think you need to explain yourself- there is so much negativity in the world, wherever we can shine the light, or BE the light... all the better. Talk soon.
