I know I have been missing from my blog and that I am not a very good blogger lately, but with work and painting with almost all my free time I just don't find I have the time and then I went and found Tumblr! Tumblr is a place where dreams are and images and words of inspiration and beauty. I started my Tumblr blog as a place to keep all the wonderful images I was finding on other Tumblr blogs, but then I realized it was a place to share that beauty too. Robyn, my new lovely friend over at the most wonderful blog Art Propelled and my sweet friend Angela were the first people who alerted me to this new form of blogging. Some people I have shared Tumblr with don't get it and some do. Basically I find an image of a painting, photo or poem and quickly post it (Tumblr makes it quick and easy) and if I see an image or poem or quote on another Tumblr blog all I have to do it hit this niffty little button called reblog, and there it is with links and everything. There are no comments, just notes, there is a heart button that says you like the post or it shows you who reblogged the post. I can do 10-20 posts in ten minutes! For me it is like when I am reading an art magazine or a really good book and I want to mark something wonderful in it so when a friend comes over I can share it with them, only this is easier and faster. And I always have a place to go to see really great art, better art I might add then what I see in the art magazines, which seems tired and old in comparison. Do you see that yummy painting on my side bar, at the top? That is a link to my Tumblr blog. You can visit anytime and see what I am loving and get inspired and if you click on archive you will see all the images in thumbnail form, just click on one to enlarge and if you want to see more from an artist, just click on the image in the post and it will take you to their site, this is where I tend to get lost late at night looking at beautiful art.
Please let me know what you think of the blog and if it makes you smile like it does me.
Happy Saturday. XOXO

Tumblr is a feast for the eyes, and I LOVE what you post on yours! I'm so glad you're enjoying it.
xoxoxo
Angela, I am glad you are like mine, I love what you put on yours as well and have reblogged much of it :-). xoxo
I love Tumblr, Annie. I like the interconnectedness, everyone creating and others being inspired back and forth. There's a wonderful, inspiring, fun, fast energy there. I like that there are few if any words. It's emotional and intuitive, much more interactive than blogging. Loved your Paul Klee quote and your images. Lovely!
Suzanne, Tumblr is yummy, that is how I feel about it, like Angela said a feast for the eyes and soul.xoxo
oh great one more wonderful thing to do with blogging. At this rate I shall get NOTHING done in my little art making world. LOL
how wonderful, i love how happy this makes you! i don't know tumblr, although i've heard so much good about it. enjoy dear annie!
Lynn, That is exactly what I thought when I heard about, but I made room :-), I just do less of opther things and still manage to paint, a lot :-). xoxo
Lori, check it out.xoxo
Hi annie. glad you find tumblr fun. i myself find it irritating. i dont get it, as there is no back and forth talking which is why i blog really. but to each his/her own. be well, suki
Suki, You made me laugh. I guess we are all different, I just love looking at the beauty and sharing it, but it is not for everyone that's for sure, just like blogging is not for everyone, most of my friends think blogging is strange :-). xoxo
anything that makes you happy is a sure winner, annie.
for now, knowing nothing about tumblr, i agree with lynn and suki: no time, love 'talking'. but i can see the pull of wonderful art, plain and simple.
have fun. don't be going away here, okay?! i know you won't!
♥

Kj, sometime late at night when you can't sleep check it out, just so you know what you are missing :-). I won't ever leave my blog, but right now one or two posts and blog visits a week feels right. Painting is #1, I do Tumblr at night before bed instead of reading these days, and having all that yummy beauty in my head before I sleep makes for some wonderful dreams :-). xoxo
I've got to figure Tumblr out - its eluded me so far....
Hi Blissful Bohemian . . I too am a Tumblr lover! I'm "neutralnotes" and "colornotes" . . two!!
Mim, If you need help just give me a shout.xoxo
Jann, I love your Tumblr blogs and I have reblogged a bunch from you! Honored to have you visit. xoxo
I've finally had a look at Tumblr. I didn't have any preconceived ideas but I found myself wanting to know more about the image- Who made it? Why? How? What was their inspiration? I tried to do a search for "crow" but it couldn't find anything, so perhaps the site needs more work. It is good as a gallery but it felt cold compared to a blog where there is the opportunity to interact directly with the artist. Please keep blogging!!! I would miss you.
Melanie, Most times if you click on the photo it will take you to their site so you can see more of their work. Some people don't put enough information on their posts.
It is not really about interacting with other people so much as just sharing the art. I won't stop blogging, don't worry :-). xoxo
I like Tumblr... I don't have a blog there, but I do like to visit from time to time.
I'm off to visit yours now.
Keep having Fun Annie and please don't feel guilty if you're not around in blogland as it's healthy to have a break. Also remember there are no rules, except the ones you impose on yourself when it comes to bloggin.
x Robyn
