Animal Wednesday

This little guy is a new visitor, I looked them up on the web and found them, they are Evening Grosbeak birds. I have fallen in love with them, they make the cutest beeping sound. This guy was in the middle of breakfast when I took this photo. Happy Wednesday! XOXO

Ha-ha! (Although that happens to be one of my favourite times TO have breakfast. I will check out your link now and see why they have "Evening" in their names!

We have a lot of these cheeky birds. It's nice to know you have them, too! They love to be photographed and will even ham it up a little, when they get to know you.

Oh, look at that big seed-cracking bill. We don't see those around here except maybe passing through in winter. I've never seen one.

What a cute little fellow. I checked out the link and I liked the birdsong bit, so useful to be able to pick out a particular birdsong from the general cacophony. Pretty sure we don't get these in England although they do look kind of similar to some types of ... well of course I can't remember the name of them now (shockingly poor memory I'm afraid). I'll get back to you on that one. xoxo
