Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I am still down with the infection, no more pain, but just feeling not good, everyone says it is the antibiotics, which I have not had for 37 years. I have 3 more days to go.
I am grateful for many things though, healthy family and friends and furbabies, a friend bought me new memory on my computer and it has made all the difference! Snow and a few days off. Pain free.
I was not able to get cards or gifts out this year, but don't think I have forgotten you. Have a wonderful Holiday! XOXO

Merry, Happy Everything

Well, we are all still here, as I knew we would be, the world did not end as I knew it would not :-).
So Happy Survival, Merry Christmas and New Year and Happy Winter Solstice and any holiday around the world I don't know about. I know that Hanukkah  has passed I hope it was filled with light.
I just realized this is my 800Th and 2nd post, I had planned on doing a give away at 800, so I will do one now, it is Christmas after all. I will be giving away one of my little tea and rust drawings. If you would like to be in the draw just leave a comment and let me know. I will announce the winner after New Years.
Have  a wonderful holiday , each and every one of you. I appreciate and love you all that come here.
XOXO

Sparkle and Shine ( Happy Christmas!) And Hanukkah!

Snow is my Christmas decoration :-). I love how it sparkles and crunches under foot.

After I relaxed and focused a bit I was magically able to get all gifties wrapped and sent, all cards mailed and all gifts delivered. I am done!!!!! I now have this week to visit with friends, call family and basically have fun.

I will miss my family this year. Though Bella is much better with the kitties, I would not want to leave a pet sitter with her this early in the game, so I will be staying home and having Christmas with friends. Friends are the next best thing to family, don't you think?

This year was rough, I lost 3 of my furbabies, and many friends to illness. But I know they are not really gone and that is a comfort, though I miss them. I also found out how strong I can be when I have to be and that is a gift.

This year was also full of abundant blessings.

New friends,

Lots of painting sales,

Lots of work with wonderful clients,

A shift in my painting,

Growth,

Much joy

I can't wait to see what 2012 holds for all of us.

I am excited! I hope you are too.

To all my friends (bloggy friends included) near and wide, and all my family, I love you, I am glad to know you. Have a most wonderful Christmas and New Year and Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends! XOXO

How to Stay Sane When You are Crazy Busy

I thought I would take a minute to share a photo I took the other day of Taos Mountain.

Christmas is looming and coming fast and I am far from ready, but I am trying to keep the holiday cheer, so I have decided I can't get everything done, I will settle for the most important things, like:

Staying in the moment and doing my best,

Connecting with friends and family,

Giving my self quiet time,

Lots of hikes with my dog Bella,

Taking time to always see the beauty around me,

Giving gratitude for all I have,

Meditation,

Getting into the spirit of Christmas and not stressing over it.

Doing what I can, with what I have from where I am.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Happy Saturday! XOXO

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! XOXO

I am following Renee's example and choosing to be happy, no matter what. I am going through with my dinner plans and actually have invited more friends. Between people and animals my little house is going to be full. I am working tomorrow, but will spend the evening baking. I am wishing each and every one of you, my lovely blog friends a happy and magical Christmas. Love, XOXO

Updates

Things on one hand are getting suckier(I know it is not a real word, but it is now) and on the other hand I have lots of jobs and money is coming in, so that has been helpful. The sucky part is that my cousin R is going fast and is not expected to live until Christmas. His family is in a lot of heavy pain right now. And it is Christmas. Somehow that makes it all so much worse. I am going to miss him very much.
Also very sucky is that my cat B is still ill and is now having more issues. Spike is holding.
I do have fun plans for Christmas, I am only hoping that I will be able to do them, as long as I don't have some emergency with the cats.
I have two dear friends coming for dinner to my house. I have a bottle of champagne and hopefully for this one day I can have peace and joy and fun and leave all the ugliness outside in the cold.
I love you.xoxo

Christmas in September

(click on image to enlarge and get better detail)
I decided to start a little earlier than last year, but I really should have started a month ago!
The ornaments take a while to do, but the cards are faster, so I wanted to show you a few examples of what I have made so far. I had a very hard time photographing these, I did my best.
All cards are made on 5"x 6 7/8" card stock with special papers, glitter and metallic ink. These cards are for sale for 5.50 a piece plus .55 shipping in the states (1.55 anywhere else), if you want them or want to order a set the prices are: $24 for a set of five, $42 for a set of ten,$75 for a set of 20. All cards come with an envelope. Each card is unique and one of a kind. They are a gift in themselves :-). I am offering them here and taking orders before I put any on ETSY. If you are interested you can email me at: anniecoeartist at peoplepc dot com. Also if you have any suggestions or questions(at all!) let me know.
P.S. The papers I buy are limited, so I cannot custom make the cards, every card will have the papers that are available at any given time :-).
Happy weekend! XOXO

Contemplative

I took this picture today. It has been snowing non-stop. I love how everything gets so quiet when it snows. This is how I am feeling these days, quiet and contemplative, calm and accepting. Gearing up for when I leave next week to go home for the holidays, it will be a busy and fun time. What are you doing for Christmas (if you celebrate it) ? XOXO
