Remember that natural wall I found hiking (see a few posts back), this is the first painting I did that was inspired by it. More to come. 12" X 12", venetian plaster, oil stick, India ink, oil paint, pastel and graphite on cradle board. enlarge to get a better view. Comments always appreciated. XOXO

Beautiful Annie... I've been busy with paint too and loving it xx
Robyn, so wonderful to hear from you!xoxo
Love 'The Wall' - it is wonderful Annie!
Oh my gosh, Annie - this is really wonderful. It reminds me of cell structures, but it has that same ''language" quality that I feel when I see you work. Well done! :) xo
solid but fluid.
doesn't that just about say everything there is to say?

Love that I can almost feel the textures in your work.
And being able to enlarge and see every little mark and nuance.
It feels like antiquity under my imagined finger tips.
And it feels great!
Judy, Thank you!xoxo
Pam, I love that you can read the language :-), it is what I aim for.xoxo
Kj, Yes :-).xoxo
Lo, Thank you!xoxo
Babs, Thank you, so happy you enlarged it, I think most people don't take the time and it really makes the paintings sing.xoxo
Lovely work Annie I like the textures -the medium works so well for the subject matter. As a bit of an aside, we had Pink Floyd on the car radio. Bungle started to sing along to "Brick in the Wall"!! He was quite happy yodeling along. He didn't do it to any other song. LOL

Melanie, Thank you! What a doll Bungle is, all your hounds are wonderful.xoxo
No surprise the wall you found inspired you. Each of the detail images of your painting could be a complete painting in itself. Just beautiful!!
