New Work

Not heat nor depression can keep me from painting :-). Actually, I can't stay unhappy when I paint, so with a fan aimed at my neck I paint. Here is the latest . Venetian plaster, India ink, oil stick, graphite and pastel
on cradle board, 12"x 12", titled "Passage of Time III". I have included many close ups and a side view.
Enlarge to get a better idea of what is going on.
Thank you again for all you loving comments on my last post.
Have a wonderful weekend! XOXO

Love this one too. Be careful that you don't catch a chill with that fan right on your neck. Hugs from London. Pop into my etsy shop- great sale on right now!

There is something architectural- cathedral? about this painting. I hope painting in blue tones is cooling. I would send you some of our rain if I could. We have another week of it predicted. I will grow gills soon!

Annie, your latest painting makes me think you are thinking of rain! Maybe even a rain dance... I see figures dancing for cooling rain. We've had a little the past 2 days & it is beyond refreshing. Just getting settled in my new place. I love it! (Except for the ants, ha ha.) My neighbor's place was on the market too, and it just sold... I hope that doesn't happen here, but it's a possibility. He was only here 3 months! Oh well, I'll enjoy it while I can. Did you go to the Solar Fest?

Annie said...

Hi becky, I have been thinking of you. Glad you love you space, I hope you get to stay there for at least a year!
I am thinking of rain, but just a few drops so far, no real rain.
I hate the Solar Fest, so no, I stayed far away :-).
Let's talk soon.
xoxo

Ooooh, love it. Looks so patriotic.
But like Becky said it could be rain dancing too.
Dance for us too, we're (as usual) bone dry.

Babs, I know, I thought that after I posted it, that it was the right week for it. Not on purpose of course and also not the rain, the painting is about time, but it may have worked because it finally rained yesterday and may do today. xoxo
