This 10"x 10" painting is made up of a zillion layers. Lots of adding and subtracting. Venetian plaster, acrylic, oil stick and graphite on cradle board. I included a side view and a few close ups, but if you dare to enlarge you will get a much better view. As usual I love your comments. Happy Tuesday. XOXO

And I love your texture and grit!
Such wonders here you are creating. Aging? Oh how we are dealing with that very thing at our house this week/year!
Another fabulous piece. Love the texture you get with the plaster and your scratches and colors add even more depth!
xxoo
Lynn, Thank you. Yes, time is on my mind a lot these days too.
Wish we could stop it once in a while :-).xoxo
Judy, Thank you sweetie.xoxo
That red + your marks = perfection. And your post below (how did I miss it?) with the bee - oh my, it's gorgeous. Beautiful work, sweetie, really really beautiful.
xoxoxo
OO this is the sort of painting I could look at and see something new each time. The layers and textures are so beautiful. I was reminded of Indiana Jones style rope ladders across a chasm.
Angela, Thank you, you are always so kind sweet Angela.xoxo
Melanie,Thank you! Actually, truth be told those rope like things were inspired by a grasshopper's wing :-).xoxo
A grasshoppers wing?! .... nature is a full of surprises and inspiration. ... as are you, Annie. Another lovely piece.
Robyn,Thank you, Yes a pattern on a grasshopper wing, I twisted it around on the wing it is straight :-).xoxo
