kj-I feel blessed to live here.
Jan-yes, I have been to Mabel's lodge and not only that, but the first year I lived here (13 years ago) I cooked a Thanksgiving dinner for friends in the kitchen, I knew the man who took care of the place, he died of a brain tumor a year later. I will never forget that night.

Have you climbed Wheeler peak, or at least gotten to the lake in the summer. It is incredible!

I love it and of course you are coming. You are gypsy number 16 and you are just to sit and make us our drinking cups and dinner plates. Because everyday after we eat and no matter how beautiful they are we will have to smash them.

xoxoxo

It looks holy. Your runs must be very therapeutic.

yes, it is a stunning place to live!
Joey-Yes, I have done that hike many times, I always start in the Ski valley parking lot to give it an extra kick :-). That lake is stinky though, pretty, but stinky.
The hike is wonderful, and beautiful though.
Renee-That sound wonderful, making and smashing plates :-).
Mermaid-They are, and they always cheer me up, no matter what.

One just feels uplifted looking at this photo. One of the cloud formations I love that happen above mountains is lenticular clouds (don't really know much else about clouds but an outdoor instructor I used to live with told me that)
