Gratitude

I have been away from my blog for a while, right after Thanksgiving I had a series of unfortunate things happen, first to avoid hitting a man walking on an icy dirt road, I went into a ditch, that was a first for me and I complained bitterly :-), then I got struck with a sinus infection that has been so painful I cannot remember having so much pain in my life, not having money to go to the doctor (my Obama Care has not kicked in yet), I have been treating it myself and now I am on the other side of it, pain level went from 15 to an 8.
One thing I can tell you I learned from this is that things can get worse. I don't mean that in a negative way, I mean that no matter what you are going through things can be worse and if you look at it that way there is so much to be grateful for! The pain taught me to be grateful when there was no pain even if my car is in a ditch :-). Being pain free is such a deep blessing that even my chronic back and shoulder pain does not even register as pain now, not in comparison with really bad  pain. Life looks new and I see so much to be happy about, I wanted to share this blessing with you. XOXO

Well Annie, I made a bird with this same sentiment. I am also grateful (which is what inspired the chosen quote for this bird.) Just wanted to share: link:

Hope you stay well and safe and warm. Greetings to you, Norma

Pain sucks. Hope your levels decrease progressively.

Subsiding pain certainly makes one grateful .... especially after having suffered with acute pain. Glad you are on the mend Annie.

Hello Sweetie! I'm so sorry to read about your recent troubles, but I'm glad you're beginning to feel better. I've learned the same lesson in the last few months. "Simple" things, like sight and the ability to walk and breathe easily, are taken for granted, but can be lost in the blink of an eye.

I'm wishing for lots of good things for your future, Sweetie.

Oh Annie, sinus infections suck! (Not to mention careening off into a ditch). Take good care and keep on top of that infection. I know that pain, and it slaps you up side the head and redefines a lot, doesn't it? Feel better! xox
