MOM

This is the hardest post I have ever written. It has been 3 days of touch and go. I have been waiting in the wings to go home and it looks like I am not going to make it. Taos is not a place where you can just hop on a plane, the airport is 3 hours away, to get anywhere takes at least 8 hours. I can't get Bella into the kennel until Thursday and my mom will be gone by then. She is not going to recover. Bella is not the kind of dog you can just drop off at a friends house. Too many issues. If mom is still with us by Friday I may make it, but the doctors have all said she won't be. I have to lend support from here. Talk to her from here. I know she feels my love and I know that is really all that counts. I will be going home at some point for my brothers and for the funeral, but for now I am here and I have to believe everything is as it should be because that is my faith.
Thank you all for your prayers. Love. XOXO

Oh Annie - I know how hard this must be for you. I always lived far away and went through the same thing with both my parents. You so want to be there. But you are right - that your mom can feel your love and you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

And I am so sorry you are losing her - our parents take a piece of our history with them when they go. And leave a huge hole in our hearts. Being with your brothers and sharing memories of her will help. I am glad you will be able to do that.

I wish I were there to give you a big warm hug. Stay strong while giving in to your grief. Time does help.

Lots of hugs and prayers.

Big hugs Annie. Your Mum knows and feels your love. That is what matters the most. Help her celebrate her life and talk to her all you can.

Dearest Annie, I am so very sorry this is happening. You are so wise to know that your mom can feel your love. There is no bond stronger than that of mother and child. You are doing all you can, and everything is as it should be. I am so glad you have your brothers to share your grief, your sadness, and a lifetime of memories with.

Sending love and hugs and prayers, dear friend,

I am so sorry to hear this, I visited your blog after ages. Yes, it will take time to get used to the fact, that you can't see or touch your Mum, but you will be able to feel her kind presence, she will always be with you. Hugs.
