I have six new paintings to show you and two almost done, I decided to start with the last one I did because it is my favorite. Untitled (Blue), 8"x8", Venetian plaster, oil, India ink and graphite on board. I always love to hear your thoughts. Back to painting! Happy Monday! XOXO
Love love love this new painting! Can't wait to see more.
i will say it looks like you have loads of fun while doing a paints -
all the different media feels very good, peaceful in the blue
Hi Annie, i received the wonderful painting that you did just for me!!!..It is is so beautiful...and very inspirational to me as an artist. I always say, "follow the clues...' and this gift painting resounds with the ancient look i love....almost like a fresco in the Minoan tradition.....right out of the palace of Knossos! How interesting that I would receive such a generous, delightful painting. I am so honored and thrilled! I will be sending you a mixed media of mine....maybe the inspiration can go around! Your techniques are very timeless and this little painting has a great presence....THANKS! xox Susan....will post some pics soon!
you are amazing. doing so much work now, fabulous. I really like the contrast of the left side sort of plain and the wonderful graphite marks on the right.
Judy, Thank you! xoxo
Joey, Thank you, always lovely to see you here.xoxo
Susan, I am so happy you like the painting, I miss the ocean so much and since you live by the water I felt a connection. Happy it was the right choice.xoxo
Suki, Thank you, I can't seem to stop, even when I try to take a day off I have to do a little something :-), I am on a mission! xoxo
Susan, I forgot to add, thank you for sending me a piece of yours, I am excited :-).xoxo
Wow Annie! I LOVE how that blue pops.
it's a body! i LOVE it, annie. the blue is spiritual and alive.
you are really on a roll, i see a gallery opening in your future. soon. i mean it.
Oooh me too, love love it- the colours and simplicity just sing! oooh wow!
I like your minimal approach on this one, as as everyone has said, the blue has a song all it's own.
glad to see you are still painting up a storm! speaking of which- that is what your painting makes me think of- summer thunderstorms! i have had a little break from work & had a dear friend visit & it has been wonderful. hoping perhaps i can head up that way in a couple of weeks... i'll keep you posted.
I love this one. (partial to blue...)
oh, annie...these are splendid! the blues really sing and the quiet graphite chanting in the background sets a blissful tone! lovely! simply lovely!
I think this is one of your best. Anyway, it has a lot of appeal to me.
