This is Max and Bella on the sofa together, friends and pals. I wish I could say that Zoe is accepting of Bella, but she is not and I am out of ideas, so maybe time will change it, I hope so. Happy Animal Wednesday! XOXO
Gosh Annie, you have been painting up a storm! If you want to change to the old way of viewing, go to "new post" which take you to the dashboard, then go to "settings," then "format-" there is a box that says "showcase images in lightbox," check "no." Hit save. That should take you back to the old way, where you can enlarge, thus seeing greater detail in you paintings! Hope that helps! Well, at least Max & Bella are getting along. Given her history, I don't blame Zoe... but perhaps she'll come around eventually... it hasn't been all that long. Are you still thinking about coming on monday?
Suki, :-) Becky, Thank you! I fixed it so you can enlarge my paintings again. I am concerned about the weather, there is supposed to be another storm this weekend, so if you need to make other plans you can, I may still come if the weatherman proves wrong, and I have not asked kath yet, nothing like waiting until the last minute :-). xoxo
Love the photo - they look so happy together. My animal kids take turns being pals, and then being snippy with each other. Currently one of my cats has decided (out of the blue) that she is the Queen Bee now, and upset the other two. LOL! It's always nuts here. ;) Love the new work, Annie! xox
so sweet Annie, our Ellie (the Petite Standard Poodle) and Chaya (the chubby long bodied shortlegged doxicat) often curl up together to nap. Usually Chaya will suck on Ellie's foot until Ellie's had enough of that silly faux nursing business and gets up and walks away...but Chaya hunts her down. I love the interactions of a 45lb dog and a 7lb cat:-)
I am a painter living in the beautiful moutain town of Taos New Mexico.
Artist Statement:
I have been painting since I was eight years old when I declared to my mother that I wanted to be an artist. She promptly went out and bought me an oil set. Perhaps not the wisest choice for a child, but it got me started. I have been painting ever since and my way of working and what I paint has changed dramatically over the years. At this point in time I am working with mixed media on board and canvas. Nearly every image starts with a dream, either waking or sleeping. Other subjects that inform my work are literature and nature. Each painting is for me an adventure in color and texture,an exploration of joy and a way for me to get to know myself better. There is always a personal narrative and some hidden message that I am unaware of until it reveals itself in the finished piece. My paintings are about whatever is going on in my life at the time I am painting. My intention when I do a painting is to be true to my authentic voice and perhaps to open someone's heart and mind to all the possibilities around them.

my dog and cat did wonders for each other...the cat and birds did good also...now it is only the dog and birds, but he is good with it
