Sharing the adventure

A peaceful life can’t be provided for in a comprehensive way — taking care of the imagined future, for instance, or reaching out to the larger surroundings to insure security and comfort, a certain way of living. How to have a peaceful life really comes down to a very small thing: how to have a peaceful moment. This is a doable thing. -Jan Frazier

This post is my attempt to share my spiritual journey with you. I know many of you are also on your own journey and this post is for you. I also have many readers who don't give a fig about any of it and that is okay too :-). My story of how I came to this place today in my journey would take a zillion posts to relate, so I will try to explain it in a way that won't put you to sleep :-).
Since I was small, say 6 years old, I have known that I have a spirit inside and I have had a deep relationship with it. The last year it has grown deeper still and now I am on a cliff ready to jump into the adventure of my life. To dwell always in the blissful energy that is my soul. I have had many teachers on my way and the one who is helping me at the moment is a wonderful writer by the name of Jan Frazier. She has written a powerful, awe inspiring book called"When Fear Falls Away" The story of a sudden awakening. This book shows us what is possible and I relate because I have already tasted of the nectar she so beautifully writes about. Is it possible to be in a state of love, bliss and trust all the time? Yes, yes it is and she is proof. The most amazing thing is that it is our choice to do so if we wish it. If you have an interest I would urge you to check out her site and her book, it will blow you away. Happy Monday! XOXO

Annie,
I do believe it is possible to live in this way, in low level bliss. The greater our awareness of what is happening all around us, the more we can tap into techniques (and further awarenesses!) that help us live in this way. I am glad you shared about this book and site, it does look marvelous! And I agree with the author. We can move beyond suffering--it is our birthright and destiny to do so! SOOO glad you are and glad I am too. Through our connection and our blogs, hopefully, we will invite and encourage others to do so as well. The water is fine in here. :-)

Dawn-Great!
Jan- I am glad you are on this path and the water is fine indeed :-). However, I believe that many of our techniques actually get in our way of this bliss, though some help in the journey. I also believe the bliss we can live in is high level, top speed :-). I have spent weeks at a time there myself and according to Jan Frazier she has dwelled there for many years.

Some times I have found we need a push and one that is not necessarily welcome at the time (such as my continuing adventure healing from a brain tumor), but it is exactly what we need to stop pussy footing around and jump! Glad you are there, go ahead and jump! Do not wait for something or someoen to push you there!

...A peaceful moment. I think I can have that. And then another, and another. If one looks at each day like a string of peaceful moments, then there are really no bad days.

I followed the link and liked what I read...thank you for turning me on to Jan Frazier.

Sounds like a wonderful book. Will have to put it on my list. For now, Soul Without Shame is really spekaing to me. It is our choice, isn't it? It does help to have a teacher/mentor to show us the way.

My beautiful Annie, wonderful post! I will go hunt for this book..it took me a LONG time to find my own spirit. however, i have a deep spiritual relationship with my dad..though he has passed on 10 years now but every prayers to him has never failed me. It's funny and when I tell people, many don't believe me. When I was pregnant the 3rd time, I told my husband, the child will be a boy and he will look like my dad..and when Danial was born, he was the exact carbon copy of dad..love ya :P

I am running in the same field of flowers as you. Yes, I believe it can be done, too. I'm at least running toward it---not away from it. My awakening has been since early childhood, too, but after a near death auto accident, I have begun the process of staying awake--not just going through the motions of life and living. I have never been more alive in any moment than in that moment thinking I was going to die. I've since then jumped into my life with both feet doing all the wonderful things I'd put off doing.

I applaud you in your journey! I'm happy to have stumbled onto your blog.
