New Pesky Devil Done
In my last post I told you I was working on two small pesky devils and I finished one finally! I included details and a side shot also a group shot of several on my dining room wall, I can't get good photos in my dining room as there is little light, but I did the best I could, Judy and Lynne requested a group shot so here it is. Also I included a very blurry shot of the sweetest bird in my yard, anyone know what it is? I have never seen one here and it was alone.
This mixed media collage is 12"x 12", all my usual media, not titled yet.
I always love your thoughts. XOXO

ah, annie, i love the latest pesky devil! and thank you for showing a group shot!
i'm pretty sure your bird is a western tanager. is its song like that of an imaginative robin? same tone, but more creative (trills and extra notes)? if so, that's what it is... they're the most wonderful, happy birds. they're singing outside as i type this...
xoxo
Lynne, Thank you, the bird was too busy eating and was not making a peep :-). I wish it would come back!
xoxo
I agree with Lynne that the bird is a western tanager. (One of my favorites!)
Enjoying the new work!
Really lovely piece of work. I interest on every level!
Karine, Thank you! xoxo
Jeane, Thank you, great to see you here. xoxo
annie, keep your ears peeled... when you hear the most delightful, happy song, it'll be the western tanager!
xoxo
Annie - love this series - and thanks for the group shot. They look great together. Enjoy seeing the details too.

xoxo
Hi Annie, we don't have the bird in the UK so sorry can't help there. Very interesting work- so many textures. I like the effect of them in a group- almost sculptural.
Great to see your work grouped on the wall.If I walked into your home I would want to take one off the wall and hold it. Love the texture and the way the painting wraps around the sides.
Melanie, Thank you, they are almost sculpture. Some are very heavy, depending on how many layers of plaster I do.
Robyn,
Thank you, they are ever so much more yummy in person :-). xoxo
