Sick, Day 15
Some of you may have noticed I have not been blogging for 2 weeks. I have had the flu for the first time in over 10 years and it was a major one. For the last 15days I could hardly feed myself let alone be on the internet or even read. For a woman that lives alone it at first seemed impossible, but my many friends went to the store, brought me DVDs and called daily to check in. I am so lucky to have them. My family, though far away also called and checked in almost daily. Many have told me they have the flu too, but yet they are working, I don't understand that because I could hardly make it to the bathroom. The last week I have been on the upside, but still have very little energy, though cooking is something I can now do, nothing fancy, but yay I can cook. For the first week that really was not a problem because I could not eat! I am so grateful that this is almost over. I will attempt to go back to work Monday. I don't know how people who are really sick, like with cancer do it day after day, I guess they do it because they have to, but it gives me great respect for them. I am so very behind in my life, I will slowly catch up with all of you at some point. I have missed you. I hope you are all healthy and well! XOXO

Add my condolences and my own flu to the list . It lasted two weeks for me too and no way could I work. I could barely watch judge Judy :-)

Annie - so glad you are feeling better. You've been missed. And good to hear your many friends rallied around - keeping you fed and loved.
Don't do too much too soon - take care and continue healing.
xxoo
Sorry you've been ill, Annie. Your body was obviously needing the rest. Take it slowly until you are feeling better. xox
Thank you everyone for your well wishes. The worst part is having 2 weeks off and not being able to do art! Just isn't right :-). xoxo
I am so sorry you have been sick, Annie! Thanks for filling us in. I am glad to hear you are feeling better. Take care of yourself! xo
that is a long flu for sure. a number of years back though i had one that went on for a month. in varying degrees.
i too have no idea how ill people can work too. i never could. rest rest rest is the key.
and being sick when alone is a special category. hope you continue to feel better. hugs, suki
Annie, be sure to rest a lot, much more than you would normally, even after you begin to feel better. This flu is a bad one, and it lasts a long time. Glad you had your friends dropping by! xox
I am so sorry you were brought down by this flu! So glad you had friends there to help as you needed them too. Don't go back to work before you are 100%! No relapses allowed! Sending lots of positives for complete rest and healing!!! Hugs too!
You poor dear. I'm so glad you're starting to feel better again Sweetie! Be gentle with yourself.
xoxoxo
I'm so glad you have good friends to bring you food and check on you. I have one good friend like that and it's such a blessing.
Get well soon Annie. I'm so sorry to hear how bad you have been. It is at times like that, you really appreciate friends.
Dear Annie, I hope you are feeling much better now, and eating again and enjoying your life!
I have been busy too, but not sick yet, thankfully! Things are calming down and I am loving the quietness. roxanne
Oh, and I love your wired pieces!
Annie, this is one of the worst flu seasons ever, coast to coast and everywhere in between! It really knocks your socks off, and the fatigue from it lingers. I had it early January and I'm still not 100%. I hope you'll have the energy and will to do art soon. You're certainly on the right path these days!
Big hugs and virtual chicken soup coming your way.
xo
Lo♥
This season has been really rough with the flu and everything else--I hope you are starting to feel better! Remember, your animals have healing powers. :)
glad to hear you are doing better at last. i have struggled with the flu this last month, too. all the while working doubles at work as so many others were out with it, too. sometimes, though, i think my version of "working" with the flu was merely being propped up in a corner and drooling into a face mask!
