Recharging

Toady I am giving the fluids a rest, I am giving worry and anger a rest. Today I am looking for things to be thankful for and I am finding many:
My B is eating tiny bits of real cat food, he is acting more like himself, I think we have turned a corner.
Spike is doing great.
I cleaned my yard yesterday and it is now a joy to look upon, well better anyway :-).
I have the day to do research on what to feed my cats and other ways in which I can help them.
My blogger friends and my real time friends who have all been so loving and helpful, you find out who your real friends are when stuff like this happens and you find out who isn't.
I think I can see the end of the tunnel and there is some bright sunshine on the other end :-).
I do believe I am due for some good times-Bring it on!
Love to you this Sunday and everyday. XOXO

Im glad things are looking up for the kitties. Whew. You have been through a lot. I think cleaning the yard type work is good at times of stress. Hope you see the sun shining over the mountain.

I will never declare my self an expert on cats, they are more of an expert on me. My long lived one would only eat the "cheap" tune, not the white meat kind (not cat food, people food) and then I find out that the white meat has more mercury! Listen to your other learned friends on the subject, there is a lot of garbage in regular cat food and I do not have the answers!
I am so glad your cats are doing better!

What a relief Annie. I am so glad your cats are doing better.

I bet your yard looks great now. Mine is on my list of things to do before the 5th when we are having a fireworks party here.

Oh God, I am so due for some good times too. I forget them.

I have been feeling so shitting, I am ready to slit my own throat.

Oh well, I have been here before and need some new meds.

Love you sweet Annie.

Annie can you send me your home mailing address please. If you put it on a separate comment on my blog I will delete it.

Love Renee xoxo

Hi Annie,
This is an Indian remedy, turmeric heals everything. My mother has given me, our several cats and dogs, turmeric powder boiled in milk. You take a teaspoon of turmeric powder and boil it in a cup of milk. Let it cool and then feed. I am not sure whether turmeric is available in your area. It is a natural antiseptic for all ailments.

I am happy that Mr. B is doing better, and Spike too. One feels so helpless when animals are in pain, no?

Glad to hear you're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We bloggers are here to walk all the way to the light with you.

Hi Annie,

I just got linked here via Renee's blog. I know you and I have exchanged comments before but I'm not sure if you remember I've been a vet tech for 36 years. I do private home visits now giving fluid therapy to kitties like yours. And I also know a fai amount about kitty nutrition.

Please go to www.catinfo.org

You'll be amazed at what this vet has to say about kidney failure and diet.

I don't have time to read all of your back posts right now so I don't know a lot about the kids. Did they come down with renal failure acutely and together? That usually indicates food poisoning/environmental suspects, etc., which will eventually affect the liver.
BUT if this is old age inset than there are ways to definately prolong their lives with quality!

Do you warm their fluids first?
That makes a BIG difference but you can't make them too warm.

Hey, why don't you email me. My info is on my blog in my profile section.

I'd love to help any way I can!

Best to you and the kitlens...
Laurel
