Happy New Year!

I am wishing you all my dear bloggy friends a wonderful New Year full of blessings and love.
My list of things to be grateful for grows daily and one of those things are my lovely bloggy pals
and my many friends that I have known for years and my new friends which seem to be growing
by leaps and bounds. My family. My boys. My art. Movies. Books. And SNOW! I did not have a white Christmas, but I will have a white New Year's, as there is a small blizzard outside right now.
Off to curl up with a good book and spicy hot chocolate. I will have a low key holiday, seeing a good friend tomorrow and then I will lay low for New Year's Day, meditate and renew, start a new art project. Happy Happy. XOXO
P.S.Saturday is the last day of my ETSY sale, 10% off all items.

Sunday Bliss

Melting snow outside, me inside, warm and in jammies and books and DVDs on hand a large mug of hot cocoa spiked with Cayenne pepper, talking to friends and family. A full day of not having to work or do one darn thing. Just be. I have a few cards left to make out, but Christmas is mostly done. Now I can relax. Ahhh, BLISS! Wishing you the same this glorious Sunday afternoon. XOXO

Show and Tell

Are you all as crazy busy as me? I am sure you are! These are some the last of my ceramic pieces until I dive into painting for at least a month. All but two will be making their way to my ETSY site. The little cup with the chunk missing was a gift I made for my mom, but my cat max broke it within ten minutes of it coming home from the kiln :-( and the boxes lid is warped, porcelain does that when it gets too thin, note to self:Make lids thicker! This weekend I am deep in Christmas card making and making out and wrapping and well, you know, CHRISTMAS! It is almost here. Note to self:Remember to breath :-). Happy Saturday! XOXO

Auction for Kj's kids

I am auctioning off this small 8"x 8" painting for Kj, she is a counselor and some of her clients
are children in need. She is gathering up donations for one such child named Z, go here and read all about it. If you would like this painting leave a comment with the amount you would pay and the painting will go to the highest bidder after 6PM on Thursday the 9TH. All the money will go to Z, so when it comes time to pay you can send a check to Kj or by pay pal, or better yet, we will ask her how she wants it sent. I want to start the bidding at $35.00, this painting is Venetian Plaster and acrylic paint and collage paper on board.
*Bidding is closed.
Lynn is the wining bidder as Lynn was the only bidder. I am a bit disappointed about that, but I could not be happier that the painting is going to Lynn! xoxo

EPIPHANY!

I had a huge epiphany this morning, thanks to the wonderful writer Jan Frazier, she had a little audio on her site called Getting Unstuck and I listened to it and I cried the whole way through because she was speaking to me. What it all boils down to is that my whole adult life and some of my childhood I have been on a spiritual quest to wake up. Jan has woke up and she has become an important guide. What I learned this morning is so huge, so big that I know it is life altering, though what that will look like in time I have no idea. The main thing I learned is: You cannot take refuge in your larger being to avoid dealing with what is going on, the painful stuff. Wow.

I have been taking refuge in my larger god self my whole life, I thought it was what you did to be a spiritual person, to wake up. No wonder I have been feeling stuck for most of my life!!! It also goes along with my work with "The Process", part of the process is that you are to jump into the uncomfortable stuff, a step I sometimes gloss over. Clearly I like to avoid pain, don't we all? But Jan says in order to move away from the pain you have to feel it first, usually when I feel any kind of pain I use one of my spiritual techniques to push the pain away and I feel so good that I was able to stay happy. Nothing wrong with happiness, but nothing wrong with pain either, that's the point. I don't mean wallow in victim hood and woe is me, I mean just feel what is happening in each moment and deal with it instead of trying to always fix it. I know many of you are also on a spiritual quest so I wanted to share this information. Go here and listen to the audio yourself, you will be glad you did. Happy Sunday!!!! XOXO

New Ceramics

ceramics

This little tiny bud vase is hot out of the kiln, it is one of my favorite creations, tiny at only 1 3/4" x 2", I have no tiny flowers around so used a small crow feather. Showing front and back. Also a tiny pair of post earrings. I will be making more at a much later time, one more session of glazing and I will be taking a break and spending most of the Winter painting. I will be adding these to my ETSY shop later today. My 5% off (HAPPY) coupon code sale and free shipping in the US is still going, but will end Monday evening the 6TH.
Happy Saturday! XOXO
