What I've been up to...

It has been a busy week. I have had a few small jobs, and I finished the book! For real.
I can't resist reading it through just one more time, but it is done and now I have to find someone or a couple people to edit it for me. I am putting it out there to all of you, if you would like the job of editing my book, I can't pay you, but I will give you a painting, a new one that I will do with you in mind, who ever you may be :-). This offer goes out to all my non-blogging friends as well. Please email me if this is something you would be interested in doing. The title is "Trust Where You are". Thank you all for voting on the title, it was a huge help.

I am hoping to do some painting this next week, my heart has been with ceramics for a month, but I am beginning to miss the paint. I do have three bowls to finish, but after that I am spending some time painting.

I am off to make a yummy breakfast and tie up some odds and ends and then I am dressing up for an art show. This one will prove to be an exciting show because two stars of movies and TV will be attending, I am not telling who, but their names both begin with D. If you guess correctly who they are I will send you a surprise. The only hint is that they are long time friends of one another and they are older men. Just leave your answer in the comment section.
Have a wonderful weekend! XOXO

Hey sounds fun. I think one is that Dean person you wrote about but no idea about the other one. I'd offer to edit but am in such a distracted state right now. Not sure if I have time. Would be glad to read though and maybe offer a few comments. Would you send it via email attatchment??

Thanks Suki, You got half of the answer right. I would love for you to read my book. I would send as an email attachment in adobe reader.

Annie,

I would definitely be interested in editing your book. I could start in earnest in about a week and a half when my semester is over. I've edited dissertations for people before, but not a book. What do you think?

Oh, Erin I would love it! I value your writing so highly! I can't tell you how delighted I am. A week and a half sounds fine, as I still want to polish it a little. It is a small book, only 57 pages. Now I am so nervous for you to read it :-). I have a lot of confidence in my painting, but not any in my writing. Let me know when you are ready. I will also be so happy for you to have a painting of mine :-).

Great! I should be ready to go by 5/13. And I would be so thrilled to have one of your paintings. I'm really looking forward to reading your book. :0)

Erin, I can't tell you how excited I am, I am having a hot flash, I am so excited (one day you will be old enough to understand that statement :-). Much love to you. xoxo

Oh wow! You finished! That's quite an accomplishment. I'd love to read it, but I can't offer any editing expertise... so maybe I should wait until it's published. :-)

Dean Stockton and Dennis Hopper?

Annie said...

Anonymous, you got the answer right(it's Dean Stockwell, but I know that is what you meant). How will I send you your surprise if I don't know who you are?

Annie,
Congratulations on finishing your book! This is such a grand accomplishment. By the looks of the responses here it seems you have many supportive friends who are willing to give editing a go. I am so glad. Having wise others share in our writing journeys is so very important. I wish you the best! (I do like the title, too!)

Congratulations on the book. Just writing something meaningful to you is a big accomplishment! Have fun at the art show.

Hi from Sue - I had to guess the D names and I almost had both (I got Dean Stockwell but not Dennis)! Then I read the post and missed out - anyway I would of course edit - if you want me to do only grammar and not content. Congratulations and let me know - did the show today and it rained and stopped, and did that all day. People were still shopping but none of my regular people - glad to be in a nice warm place tonight. Love ya Sue

Annie,
You are too nice- technically I am incorrect. Who is Dean Stockton?

Congratulations Annie, I m so happy for you. I admire your bravery for putting it out there to be edited. I admire your bravery anyway. I got the Dean bit but not Dennis Hopper.

I am so happy that you have hit a creative strain. :-) I look forward to seeing the results.
