The Crown of Love
This is a painting I did a few years ago. A part of me misses doing the whimsical stuff, and I may do a few sometimes, as it can get a bit boring doing just the serious abstract work. I think it is also time to start letting go of some of my work that I have hung onto, so I am putting this on my Etsy site later today. Go there to see close up photos of this piece. I am off to work with a new claybody, a low fire porcelain. It has proven to be very difficult, but that won't stop me :-).
I get bowls back from the firing place tomorrow, I can't wait to show you (if they turned out!).
Happy Tuesday everyone and let me know what you think of this mixed media painting.
XOXO

Honestly I love it. I think it is WONDERFUL.
It's pretty neat. :-)
Smiles!
you are so talented and fun. interesting new design on yr blog page too!
Man, that caught my eye from a mile away. Some things just jump out, reach into my chest, grab my heart and squeeze, and I really have no idea why. That's one of them. It has a great energy to it. Makes me wonder what you were doing and thinking and feeling when you made it...those things surely bleed into the "feeling" of a finished product. I really love it!
What fun!
Thanks all of you for your sweet words!
Starlene-Wow, that is wonderful, I was madly in love when I made this painting, and yes, my emotions fill up my paintings :-).
I see your heart, large, bright, and red with love.
Beautiful as always.
That looks really good...I love a bit of whimsy and a bit of color and liveliness in artworks.
I love it!
