Trust

This photo has nothing to do with the post today, I just thought it was time for a cat photo and Max (pictured) is in my lap as I speak. He is making it very hard to type :-). As I have no job or real money coming in (yet) I have been thinking a lot about trust and security. I have come to the conclusion that security is an illusion and thinking because you have money or a husband or a job that you are secure is a false belief. To put security in money or another person, just sets you up to fall because one thing we all have to learn sooner or later is that the only security is in source, some call it God, but I prefer source or spirit. I have always believed this, but now, as I have nothing else, I must trust this knowledge and let my life flow in the direction that spirit is pulling me. The funny thing is, that when I am easy and not afraid, when I am in joy and going with the flow, money is coming in, just when I need it. I get a call for a small job, or my tax refund arrives. I am hoping that this will also translate into selling a painting someday soon :-), but I am not going to tell spirit how to do it's job. All I have to do is show up with my heart open and be willing to trust that all is well and that I am always taken care of. This does not work if one gets fearful or in despair, so keeping a light heart is essential, which is sometimes hard to do when you are faced with the unknown. I am doing pretty good today :-). Living life in this way is free and easy and like floating down a river on a sunny day. I highly recommend it. Happy Monday. XOXO

You are so beautiful, Annie, and your words make my heart glad. When you trust you create a space for all of us and I appreciate that very much. When we follow our bliss, the Universe brings us all things we need -- in expected and unexpected ways. When I first found Abraham I knew they were for me and jumped in with all four feet. About two or three days later I found a $100 bill on the sidewalk -- no cars, nothing around. And I have had several more unexpected gifts like that.

I'm just getting online for a few minutes to check something and couldn't resist seeing what you wrote. I'm glad I did.

Wishing you a fabulous day!

You have so much courage, Annie. Just today, I was thinking how powerful the thought is that there is enough for everyone. You manifest this with your energy.

May the belief that you are always taken care of fill you and spill over.

Wonderful post Annie. It takes a lot of courage to let go and trust completely. I've had endless 'test' of all kinds which left me very distraught and having a huge anxiety, I thought I'd die of heart failure. However, somehow, there is a solution for it. And when I face testing times, I just trust that it will solve itself, telling myself no problems are forever. love and hugs always.........M

My sweet beautiful Annie, just be in the present. Trust the universe, the good you do, returns to you. Wealth and the illusion of that security has made many an unhappy human being. Happiness is that warm kitty on your lap and the knowledge that you are following your path, with integrity and heart.

That is so true. I had the new baby, husband, mortgage, the lot. Then in one move hubby was made redundant and we had to radically re-think our lives. Looking back we needed this, but at the time it was so scarey. Again when my back was bad, we had to rethink. We didn't sell this house when we hoped to, and I know there is a reason why it's not right for me to live nearer home right now, I just don't know what it is.

I hope that you sell a pinting soon and that your work speaks to someone right where it is hanging.

You can also say that the only security is in yourself...

I'm with you! It's not easy to step in that boat, however, once in it and bobbing along, it's amazing how smooth the ride can be.

I'm visiting from Awake is Good and I'm pleased to meet you and Max. Any day is a good day to post a photo of furry critters, in my humble opinion.

Have a great day filled with prosperity in all its manifest forms.

aw, annie, your words are like a warm blanket and a cool breeze.

we have to do the work and walk the talk but then we coast and wait until the universe tells us what the plan is.

right?..... :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments.
Dawn-It is true you need to trust yourself, and your intuition, but I belive there is a source and that we are never alone because, spirit is always with us.
Carolynn-Welcome!
Jan-Thank you!
KJ-Yes. When work is asked of us, work, when rest is asked of us, rest :-). Waiting for instructions
is wise :-). xoxo

Thank you. I have been in business for myself for 14 years, it is never easy between jobs. Now, my husband, who worked for the same company for 35 years, is out of work. We have good days and some bad. It is very hard to be positive sometimes, but your posting has raised my spirit today. Thank you.

I believe that too.

I celebrate you and your wisdom, Annie, in these deep matters of the heart. Trust is key, surrender is paramount to living as our truest selves. I am so very glad you know this! May the Spirit richly bless you in all your ways...

"Living life in this way is free and easy and like floating down a river on a sunny day."

I know what you mean. It is like that, when times are relatively good.

I find myself in my sixteenth year of an incurable rare disease - widespread intractable pain, little productive time, mostly bedridden.

It isn't like floating down a river on a sunny day. I am at peace though. It's hard to come up with an analogy.

Paul-I can see why your situation is not like floating down a river on a sunny day. You are living a very challenging life and I feel for you. We all have different challenges, mine is relationship and money :-).And your challange is way tougher than mine. However, we all have to learn to trust and make peace. I am glad that you have done that. Your book looks very interesting...Blessings to you.

The trusting attitude you have reminds me of my grandfather--he's very devout, actually. He raised seven kids with my late grandmother, working and going to school at the same time, and now he's enjoying his great-grandchildren.

Also LOVE the antenna ears on Max!
