Sharing with Friends

I took lots of photos of my little birthday celebration, but they did not turn out, except for this one of my lovely hosts P and B. The sweetest most beautiful of couples. It was an evening of good food and good friends a wonderful way to spend a birthday. I am working on becoming friends with getting older. Some days I do okay and some days I don't :-). I read a little quote in the New Yorker, made by Frank Gehry the architect that made me laugh. He was having his 80Th birthday and said "I don't feel eighty. I guess you never think you are the age you are, and, as long as you don't look in the mirror, you aren't". :-).
I feel 35 tops and inside I feel 18, so if I just stay away from the mirrors I will be okay.
Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes.
XOXO

What a lovely way to look at getting older...just don't look, haha! And I'm always my 20 year old skinny in my dreams too!

Teri- Yeah I am banning all mirrors from now on. I am actually thinner now than when I was 20 :-).

I must say I dont look in mirrors much except to check out my hair style once in awhile and make sure no spinach is stuck between my teeth. However, then it is a big shock when i do carefully look at myself yikes. Glad you had a bountiful b-day

Happy (belated) birthday! (Sorry I missed it yesterday.) I think the best way to celebrate a birthday is being surrounded by friends. Glad you had that!

Oh..Annie, you look 18 for sure, there must be some hidden secret of staying young..you and Melanie, both looking very young. Well, I am forever 18 inside..throw in some pain here and there, but still 18 at heart. BIg hugs for the weekend

LOL I still haven't worked out how come I look like a grown up when I don't think even like a teenager. I like getting lost in the wonder of new things and experiences. I am still curious about life. I think when you are bored by life that is when you truely age as you have given up.

Glad you had a wonderful birthday with friends.

I'm glad you had a lovely birthday. I guess we might as well make friends with getting older, but you're right--some days it's easier than others!

Hey, happy birthday. Your friends look so lovely, like the kind of people I would like to spend an evening with, too. You look and act and feel really young to me! Sorry I missed the big day.
