What I've been up to...

This is what I've been up to the last two Sundays. One cup and two good sized bowls. I have been having so much fun with them. Today I am glazing the mugs I made 3 weeks ago. You have to glaze each mug 3 times inside and out, so it gets a bit time consuming, but it is meditative too.
Today, I am also playing with my boys which means mostly watching them sleep and throwing string beans for Max :-), reading books and magazines and staying in a generally relaxed and blissful like state :-). Happy Sunday. XOXO

I love the handle on the cup and the ball base detailing on one of the large bowls. I think your set is goign to look great. :-)

How beautiful! I do not work with clay but as a fellow artisan I can tell you that your work will grow with you over time. One day you will look back at your early creations and smile at how far you have come.

P.S. I love Sundays too!

Beautiful pieces, Annie! I admire your talent--it must be so rewarding to make something beautiful with your hands.

Sounds like a lovely Sunday. I've been in a contemplative, crafty mood myself.

Suki-Thanks
Teri-Thank you, I am not sure how I will glaze these yet...
Kj-:-).
M.Kate and Melanie-Thanks XOXO.
Shattered- I know this is true. It certainly was for painting, my first paintings when I was still a child were awful and did not get good until I was in my late twenties :-), hopefully it won't take that long for my ceramics to get better.
Erin-Yes, it is a most wonderful thing.
Sizzle- Have fun and keep your mind off him :-).

I really like clay pots, especially due to their historic significance.
