More Clay Love

This is a photo of my latest effort, they will have drawings on them as well. I really like them and think I will move on and make some bowls, plates and maybe even a butter dish next. I also have plans for a (gasp) tea pot in the coming month. For those of you bored by all the talk of ceramics, I promise a new topic for the next post :-). Have a Lovely evening. XOXO

I think they would also make nice candle sticks, like the really old fashioned colonial kind?

They are lovely!

A tea pot--those are hard to do! If it looks anything like these (like the shape and detail), yours will turn out great.

these are great! I can imagine that making a teapot or anything with fitted lids would not be easy so I look forward to seeing pic of yours!

All of you, thanks for your encouraging comments. I forgot to tell you how these were made- handbuilt. I don't own a potter's wheel and likely never will as I like to build from scratch.

I will try and not label the mugs as midieval, but they are really cool. Please don't apologize for sharing your love of ceramics. Your blog is for you to share what inspires you:)

It is beautiful. Love the handles. You must fire them amd show us the final photograph. The word verification throws up redred...is it trying to signal some colour?

I so love handmade mugs! And a teapot would be absolutely lovely! I'm curious about the mugs...do they get painted or do they stay au naturel?

Starlene-To be able to use them they have to be glazed. First they are fired then I will be drawing on them with a glaze pencil, then they are fired again, then glazed and fired again. I will post photos of the finished pieces.
