Life is weird and crazy on top

A photo of my other three boys, Mr.B, Max and Spike
taking a snooze.
I don't have much to say tonight except that something
happened yesterday(too personal to share on my blog or
with most of my family and friends, so don't ask) that should
have left me feeling very sad, and it did for a few hours, but
the really weird thing is, I woke up this morning feeling very
light and free and happy. Sometimes what you think you want,
is not really what you want, you know what I mean? I basically
got a no from the Universe, and it turned out to be perfect.
I hope I am making sense, sometimes I can be too abstract :-).
Please share any stories about when you did not receive something
you wanted and realized you were happy about it, or when you got
what you wanted and did not like it? XOXO

I think you need to switch to acrylics, those paint thinners are starting to take their toll.

Awwww, look at those sleepy kitties. My kitty is sleepily watching me type.

Long story short, I thought I wanted to marry my (now ex) boyfriend, but he didn't feel the same. Now I'm sure he was not right for me, and I'm weeks away from a master's degree and a new career. And hopefully a new direction in life.

I am always struggling with not getting what I want and realizing later it wasn't right anyway. I have a bad case of "instant satisfaction", so I want things right away without really thinking it out. Thank goodness over the past few years I've really had to learn that patience brings good things to my life. It's crazy how things work out that way!

Love the kitties. You do have quite a menagerie there. remember the law of reversals. That's what this sounds like. also, it is just in this present moment you are not getting what you want. In some other present moment this or something better may arise for the highest good of all concerned. Shakti Gawain had a mantra something like that. the code work is persheve (perceive?)

Hia Annie, good to hear that you are content with what happened. Nothing springs to mind at the mo. about something I wanted but didn't get and it was ok. Sorry.

Getting a NO from the universe... that reminds me of some painful experiences, some of which turned out t be blessings in disguise...

LOVE the kitties.

And I am sad you were so sad, but glad that you think that it was for the best in the end.

And I thought I wanted a job with Air Canada, I thought I wanted it soooooo bad. When they didnt' want me I was sooooo hurt and offended. However...now, I am sooooooo glad. I have realized that being outdoors is the most important to me, and that going from terminal to walk way to cockpit and back again all day long would have killed my spirit.

And hopefully soon I'll be flying choppers. (they called about retraining, so now I have to convince them...LOL)

I thought I wanted the perfect house. Our house is old, and it will be some time before we buy. All our family and friends have big beautiful homes and I am so grateful for the lesson.

One of my issues to work with is praise/blame. Neither lasts very long, and one can turn into the other so easily.

I loved your Bob Newhart comment on my blog. That is one of my favorite and most quoted scenes. :)

The kitties are so cute all cuddled up together.

I'm glad you woke up feeling light and free!

I can't believe I can't think of anything right off the top of my head. There have been so many instances in my life where I didn't give the Universe a chance to say yes or no..or it said no and I did it anyway and I have regretted that every single time.
