More New Work

This is the painting I finished today. 14"x 11", venetian plaster and mixed mediums on board "Red Calls Out Orange". The paintings are still in flux and some of them may get painted or plastered over. The thing is, is that I am changing and my work is changing and I am still finding my new voice with these pieces. Working with different mediums and trying out different things, I imagine that I will be changing things with each new painting until I hit it :-).

I am having fun and for the first time in years I am painting daily and it feels really good.

As always I love to know what you are thinking. Happy Monday. XOXO

Awesome Annie... I too am painting daily for the first time in years and loving it... though for me it is a bit of a roller coaster ride.
Keep painting and keep sharing... I love it :) x

Great movement in this piece! I love the thin lines in contrast with the red oval. It's such a strong shape and color to have in a dominant place. Love it!

Annie, I'm so happy you're in a good place ;)

Annie I am enjoying your search for a new voice and love what you are doing. I particularly like the feeling of space or spaciousness in this one and my favourite piece a few posts back. Working every day is so rewarding because you build momentum and use each piece as a springboard for the next. Happy painting!

Aha!!! Blogger is letting me in today! Yay!!! Love this painting Annie, really nice use of colour and I love the subtlety of the shades too ... they look kind of I don't know the word but they feel comfy if you get my drift.

I am watching my postbox with an eagle eye!!!! Should be here any day now.

Huge hugs to you Annie. xoxoxox
