I loved this movie! The acting was wonderful and perfection. I love Julia Child and Meryl Streep nailed the part. Amy Adams was good too. Everyone did a fine job in this film. Most of all I loved the story. Joyful and sweet. I had no idea that Julia had such a happy and fulfilled marriage. It was wonderful to see an example of real love in a film. Something we rarely see these days.
In short a film that I will likely see again and again. Now I want to get all the books Julia ever wrote. I feel an obsession building here :-), and I don't even cook! Happy Labor Day! XOXO

I loved it, too. I wanted to get her cookbook and start making sauces and all kinds of things. Their marriage, and both of them, were so sweet. I could see it again and probably will!!
Hmmmm, I'll have to take a look at it. Sounds wonderful!
Can't wait to see it. I heard one of the best and most surprising parts was this beautiful relationship between a mid-life couple...So glad you liked it!

I agree with you Annie! This was by far the best movie I've seen in a while. So sweet. And inspiring! Like you I want to run out and get her cookbooks...I cook, but I don't think I care to "bone a duck"!!!!!
I totally agree! This movie was a delight from start to finish.
Great minds think alike :-).
My mom bought me "My Life in France", but I have had no time to crack it open yet. xoxo
Hey, maybe you'll start!
It hadn't struck me as something I wanted to see but after your review I might just go to the cinema.
i agree about julia's marriage, i loved seeing her and paul. but i thought amy adams was flat as a pancake compared to meryl streep.
definitely a movie to see!
Kj-Isn't everyone flat compared to Meryl? :-).
I love how you said you don't even cook, either do I.
xoxo
Have a wonderful weekend dear Annie.
